The Army's Med. System is Failing Soldiers

Recently a man by the name of Gerald Cassidy died. He didn't die from natural causes either. It was an "accident" according to the 12-page autopsy. But it doesn't seem that way. When Cassidy returned back to the states he was complaining because of headaches and other similar problems. The Army sent him to the doctor but they were unable to make room for him in the pain-mangement clinic. They just kept giving him different medicines to numb the pain. But the pain did not go away all together. It was getting worse. Eventually it got to the point where he couldn't take it anymore and pleaded for help. All he got after his plead was more medication. Methadone, a powerful narcotic. The following day Cassidy's wife tried to call his cell phone but never got an answer. Two more days and she finally called the Army to find her husband and he was found. Dead, slumped in his chair near his computer. The drug methadone, along with other drugs perscribed by the doctors were found as part of the cause of death. It seems the Army just tried to blow him off with pain killers, and ended up killing one of their own.

Gears of War Movie

"On March 20, 2007, it was announced that New Line Cinema had purchased the rights to make a Gears of War film, with Stuart Beattie writing the script along with Marty Bowen and Wyck Godfrey, who will be producing it. The film is scheduled to be released in 2009. Producer Wyck Godfrey said of the film adaptation, "I'm not a gamer, but what blew me away about Gears was how it captures the mythology of a war mission and how high the stakes are." It has been announced in the May 2007 issue of Game Informer that Cliff Bleszinski (lead designer of the game) will be the executive producer of the film. On August 3, 2007, AICN.com reported that Len Wiseman was to direct the movie adaption of Gears of War."-Wikipedia.

Cloverfield

Cloverfield was absolutley amazing. The idea of it all blows me away. A giant monster merging from the water destroying New York city that is not Godzilla. Though there is something about this movie I may like more than the story. That would be the camera. The entire film takes place behind the lense of a average (everyday) video camera. People get angry with the fast movements but during the film you get used to the shaky, quick motions, and if you pay attention, there is still an artistic aspect to the screen play. The whole picture is great and they kept it a secret incredibly well. The months of anticipation that built up inside me made the viewing of the movie worth it.

Landfall

This is a Halo 3 short film. It is live action, and it shows what a Halo movie would, and should, look like. Enjoy.

Is Myspace Evil?

Myspace today is a huge form of communication/education. When it comes to entertainment, many bands promote themselves using myspace to create a page for their band. when it comes to communication, millions of people create there own pages to talk with their friends, post blogs, and comment on each others pictures they put up. I myself love Myspace ( http://www.myspace.com/matthewlouis ) It is an amazingly massive thing. Which is why many people say there is a threat. Do you think Myspace is dangerous? Why? Why not?

Obama or Clinton?

Out of these two candidates for the democratic nomination I would have to go with Obama. To me he just seems like he has what it takes to make change. Good change.I simply just don't think Hillary has what it takes to be president. She does seem dedicated and educated about it all, but not as much as Obama. Feel free to disagree with me and post why you do.
