Cloverfield was absolutley amazing. The idea of it all blows me away. A giant monster merging from the water destroying New York city that is not Godzilla. Though there is something about this movie I may like more than the story. That would be the camera. The entire film takes place behind the lense of a average (everyday) video camera. People get angry with the fast movements but during the film you get used to the shaky, quick motions, and if you pay attention, there is still an artistic aspect to the screen play. The whole picture is great and they kept it a secret incredibly well. The months of anticipation that built up inside me made the viewing of the movie worth it.
